Working principle of bitumen Brookfield rotational viscometer instrument
In the rotary viscometer, the motor drives the rotor to rotate at a constant speed through a variable speed. When the rotor rotates in a certain liquid, the liquid generates a viscous moment acting on the rotor. The greater the viscosity of the liquid, the greater the viscous moment; conversely, the lower the viscosity of the liquid, the smaller the viscous moment. The viscous torque acting on the rotor is detected by the sensor, and the viscosity of the measured liquid can be obtained after computer processing.
The Brookfield viscometer rotation method measures the apparent viscosity of road asphalt at a temperature above 45°C. Used to determine the construction temperature of various asphalt mixtures.
