IP 170 Determination of flash point by Abel closed-cup method. It specifies a method for the determination of the closed-cup flash point of combustible liquids having flash points between -30.0℃ and 70.0℃. However, the precision given for this method is only valid for flash points in the range -5.0℃ to 66.5℃.
Introduction:
The Automated Abel Closed Cup Flash Point Apparatus is applied to the flammable and combustible materials for shipping and safety regulations. It consists of test flame applicator, brass test cup, thermometer support, heating plate and electric heater.
The Automatic Abel Closed Cup Flash Point Appratus is designed and manufactured in accordance with ISO 13736 / IP 170. It is suitable for the determination of automated closed-cup flash point of combustible liquids having flash points between -30.0℃ to 75.0℃ (Expected Flash Point -30.0℃ to 70.0℃). However, the precision given for this instrument is only valid for flash points in the range between -8.5℃ to 75.0℃.
The Abel Apparatus is suitable for flash point applications of jet fuels, solvents, chemicals, etc.
