Working principle of Surface Tension Tester
The working principle of the instrument is described as follows: It applies the high frequency induction, tiny displacement self-balance measurement system to the torque balance. When the force applied to the platinum ring changes, the balance rod connected to the platinum ring will appear displacement between two eddy current probes. Then the inductance values of two eddy current probes change. The differential transformer will lose its balance and the input signal of differential transformer amplifier in the circuit will lose its balance, too. It will send a group of electric signal, which will change with the force applied to the platinum ring, after magnification by the amplifier. The electric signal will be sent to microcomputer for process and be used to calculate the real interfacial tension of the measured sample as per GB/T6541.
