Engine Oil at HTHS Apparent Viscosity Tester
What is HTHS?
HTHS is a key performance indicator for engine oil under extreme conditions, specifically measuring the oil's ability to withstand high temperatures (150°C) and high shear rates. The higher the oil shear value, the better the oil's capacity to protect the engine. Hence, the larger the value, the stronger the ability of the engine oil to maintain the oil film strength under high temperature and high shear environment, thereby more effectively reducing engine wear and extending engine life.
Introduction:
GD-H1706 is mainly used to determine the apparent viscosity of lubricating oil at high temperature and high shear rate. The test principle is to make the sample flow out from the capillary viscometer under the pressure of nitrogen (carbon dioxide) under the test condition of 150°C. By the outflow time and pressure of the sample, the apparent shear rate of capillary viscometer can be obtained to a certain apparent viscosity, with the viscosity of the oil corresponding to the measured pressure for the curve corrected with each viscometer cell.
Technical Features:
1. This instrument has been widely used by many customers in and outside China.
2. The accessories can be exchanged with imported equipment.
3. Equipped with a special high shear viscosity calculation software.
4. The instrument allows 24 hours a day and running continuously for 365 days.
5. No solvent cleaning is required, only a small amount of fresh sample is required for rinsing.
6. The glass capillary tube meets the standard requirements, with a diameter of 0.15mm and a length of 16mm.
7. For the purpose of research, users can set different shear rate and test temperature.
8. Made of all aluminum materials.
9. Touch LCD control, can be operated directly on the LCD screen.
10. The software automatically recommends the test pressure, and the test results can be generated by Excel report.
