Two Methods for Analysis the Sulphur in Oil/ UVF Sulphur and XRF Sulphur:
Principle of Sulfur Content measurement by Ultraviolet Fluorescence method: The sulfide in the sample is converted into sulfur dioxide (SO2) in a high temperature (about 1050℃) oxygen-rich environment. The gas generated by the combustion of the sample is irradiated by ultraviolet light after removing the water. The sulfur dioxide (SO2) absorbs the energy of the ultraviolet light and transforms is the excited state of sulfur dioxide (SO2). When the excited state sulfur dioxide (SO2) returns to the stable state sulfur dioxide(SO2), fluorescence is emitted and detected by a photomultiplier tube, and the total sulfur content in the sample is calculated from the obtained signal value.
Principle of Sulphur Content measurement by X-ray Fluorescence Spectrometry: When irradiating a sample with X-rays, the sample can be excited to emit fluorescent X-rays of various wavelengths. It is necessary to separate the mixed X-rays by wavelength (or energy) and measure the intensity of X-rays of different wavelengths (or energy) respectively. For qualitative and quantitative analysis, the instrument used for this is called X-ray fluorescence spectrometer. Since X-rays have a certain wavelength and a certain amount of energy, there are two basic types of X-ray fluorescence spectrometers: wavelength-dispersive and energy-dispersive.

The lower limit of sulfur content detection can reach 0.0017%, which can be widely used in the detection of sulfur content of various oil products whose percentage content is greater than this index.
Fewer samples (3ml ~ 5ml) are used for detection, and the detection time is fast (1min ~ 5min).
The XRF sulphur analyzer adopts the fluorescence intensity ratio analysis method, the temperature and air pressure are automatically corrected, and the carbon-hydrogen ratio (C/H) can also be corrected.
With automatic diagnosis function, the sulphur analyzer can automatically judge the working state of the instrument and automatically detect the working parameters.
It can store 4096 content analysis results and 8192 counting measurement data by default, and 10 calibration curves. The stored data can be queried or uploaded to the computer through the RS-232 standard communication port.
The sulphur analyzer automatically selects the working curve by default when it is turned on, without user intervention.
The unit of measurement result can be selected, ppm or (m/m)%.
