GD-85A RTFOT Asphaltic Material Rolling Thin Film Oven
Introduction:
The rolling thin film oven consists of an oven chamber, a turntable rotating mechanism, a fan stirring motor and an electrical control unit. Eight shrink bottles can be placed on the turntable at the same time. The internal temperature is automatically controlled by a digital display temperature controller.
The rolling thin film oven is one of the most commonly used standardized tests to simulate the STA of binders. This test is used to measure the combined effects of heat and air on a thin film of bitumen or bituminous binder in permanent renewal.
What is the purpose of the thin film oven test?
The rolling thin film oven measures the effect of heat and air on a moving film of hot mix asphalt binder, simulating short-term aging that occurs during production and paving operations. This is important for investigating and predicting early age HMA pavement behavior and distress.
Features:
1.The digital display temperature controller automatically controls the temperature, measures accurately and has a failure function.
2.There is a forced ventilation layer, and the closed fan provides air to the heat source in the lower part, so that the temperature of the inner tank is more uniform.
3.Fully controlled heating elements ensure high speed response with low conduction and radiation losses.
4.There are preheated copper tubes in the inner tank and air is supplied from the air machine in the box through the flow meter.
5.The variable speed motor controls the turntable rotation speed, transmission is light and noise is low.
6.The interior of the studio is made of stainless steel and the shell is sprayed with plastic, which is beautiful and generous.
7.The temperature was set at 163°C within 10 minutes of loading the sample and closing the door.
8.The rolling thin film oven is equipped with a timer. The power supply is automatically cut off at the end of the ageing period to prevent excessive ageing.
