Automatic COC Flash Point Tester
The automatic open cup flash point tester that complies with ASTM D92 standard is an intelligent detection device specifically designed to determine the flash temperature of petroleum products under open cup conditions. Its detection principle is based on placing the sample in an open copper cup and uniformly heating it. When the vapor mixes with air to form a combustible mixture, the lowest temperature at which the flash occurs instantly when it encounters an ignition source is the flash point. This instrument strictly follows ASTM D92 and achieves full process intelligent control of temperature rise, ignition, and flash detection through an automated system. Compared with traditional manual instruments, it greatly improves detection accuracy and efficiency.
Summary of Test Method:
Approximately 70 mL of test specimen is filled into atest cup. The temperature of the test specimen is increasedrapidly at first and then at a slower constant rate as the flashpoint is approached. At specified intervals a test flame is passedacross the cup. The flash point is the lowest liquid temperatureat which application of the test flame causes the vapors of thetest specimen of the sample to ignite. To determine the firepoint, the test is continued until the application of the test flamecauses the test specimen to ignite and sustain burning for aminimum of 5 s.

Instrument Structure:
Automatic COC Flash Point Tester is mainly composed of two parts, which are an electronic control unit (ECU), a flash/fire point test unit.
ECU, installed with switching power supplies, a main control circuit board, a power amplifier board, a temperature control/acquisition module, motors, photoelectric sensors, solid state relays, aLCD touch screen, thermal printerand etc.
Flash/Fire point test unit, inside installed with electric heating devices, a cooling mesh, and a cooling fan. At the testing area, a windshield, a temperature sensor arm, an electronic igniter and a fire extinguishing cover are installed.
