Evaporation Loss Tester (Noack Method)
The evaporation loss tester adopts ASTM D5800 B method, which is not made of Wood's Metal, so it will not emit odor and is non-toxic when heated. Mainly used to determine the percentage of mass loss of lubricating oil (such as engine oil, gear oil, etc.) after evaporating at a specified temperature for a period of time. The smaller the evaporation loss, the lower the volatility of lubricating oil at high temperatures, and the more stable its performance, which can reduce fuel consumption and sediment formation, making it suitable for lubrication needs under high temperature conditions.
