Brookfield Rotational Viscometer

The asphalt Brookfield viscometer is a specialized instrument used to measure the viscosity of asphalt materials at different temperatures, designed based on the principle of Brookfield viscometer. It quantifies the viscosity value by the resistance experienced by the rotating paddle or rotor in the asphalt sample, and is widely used in road engineering, asphalt production, and scientific research fields to evaluate the construction and workability, temperature sensitivity, and high temperature stability of asphalt.
Basic structure:
The host is consists of 5-inch color touch screen, high-performance stepping motor and driver, torque sensor,rotating components, etc. Select the rotor and set the speed according to the test requirements. The rotor generates shear force during the uniform rotation process. When the rotor is subjected to viscous resistance in the measured liquid, the force is fed back to the torque sensor, and then through the corresponding internal processing and calculation,the viscosity data of the measured liquid can be displayed.
Principle:
The rotor is driven by a motor to rotate at a constant speed. The rotor is immersed in the asphalt sample, and the torque generated by the viscous resistance is detected by a sensor. Combined with the rotor type, speed, and temperature, the apparent viscosity of the asphalt (unit: Pa · s or mPa · s) is calculated.
