GD-H1716 ASTM D5133, D7110 Lubricant Gel Index Tester
Product Description:
Brinell Scanning Technology measures the low-temperature pumpability and gel index of new, smoky, and highly oxidized engine oils by continuously recording viscosity values over a wide temperature range (+20 ~+70°C). It complies with ASTM D5133, D7110, SH/T0732 and GB/T 11121 standard test methods and is the designated instrument for ASTM D5133. Principle of operation: The low temperature pumpability and gel index of unused and highly oxidized engine oils are measured by slowly and continuously lowering the measurement temperature, and both values are recorded simultaneously. A gel index higher than 12 can lead to engine failure under certain cooling conditions. This instrument is the only one capable of measuring the gel index of lubricants.
